Nicoletta Ceccoli is an Italian artist who illustrated a lot of books for children. But she is not just a very talented illustrator who make fantastic dreamy pictures; if you take a closer look you find strange details that reveal deeper, though-provoking levels.

With this entry we want to start a series of posts about artists that we like. Most of them are not so well known, but they deserve more attention. We don’t want to bother you with all kinds of sophisticated information; if you want to know more about that, you can easily find that on the internet. We just want to share the pictures with you.

American painter Mark Ryden is probably the most important artist of the so-called Pop Surrealist movement, an underground, pop-culture-infused art scene that emerged in the seventies in Southern California. As the name suggests, it combines elements from Pop Art and Surrealism.

(trivia: Before becoming a professional artistic painter Ryden worked as a commercial illustrator. He created numerous album covers including, Michael Jackson's Dangerous)

Seems to be some missunderstandings about fashion and culture in SL

Well Lolitas has been a fashion in SL since 2007 and before, nothing new about that.
Maybe its a bit more obvious now with mesh,the japanese are really good at mesh..and the sure like lolita fashion-but to say its new? for 2012 -no.
The Lolita" fashion has also nothing to do with Goth.
Goth is not an anti feminist movement/ roleplay ,what ever, either.Quite the opposite I would say.Its like saying that EMO and Goth is the same or Alternative music is the same for that matter.

To try to get your ava as close to your RL avatar is also a very limited way of thinking,dont mind if pll do but,not everyone thinks like that.So let there be diversity..that makes a better world in both worlds.

Immersiva will live on!

  The money raised will be used to bring back Immersiva for a year and a half which would let me fulfill obligations for my Government grant. I will also be able to work on a new project called "Virginia Alone" which you can read about in an interview I did for a newish SL magazine called Rez. They have a website here but their main focus is in creating prim in world magazines. The interview questions were great and in the first question I explain Virginia Alone. I will send it out again in my in world group Immersiva or you can just ask Jami Mills for a copy. It is actually a two part interview that continues next month.
